T6 series core bits are used for surface exploration with the T6 series core barrel.
Impregnated bits can penetrate a broad range of formations from the softest to the hardest rocks. They aremanufactured with very small, high quality synthetic diamonds mixed evenly through a tungsten carbide matrixDuring drilling the matrix wears away evenly resulting in continuous exposure of new, sharp diamond pointsthroughout the life of the bit.
All impregnated bits have T.c. and diamond gauge protection. The optimum diamond size, concentration andmatrix composition varies according to the hardness and abrasiveness of the rock formations to be drilled.
